The Plynlimon project, created by interior designer Alana Rooney at Nextdore, comprises two newly built Fendalton homes, each with its own personality and surfaces chosen to reflect it. One reaches for warmth and luminosity. The other settles into something richer and deeper. Together, they are a reflection of how the right materials can define the character of a home.
Verve
Verve draws its inspiration directly from the home's exterior — bronzed metal accents, rich cedar cladding, and a palette shaped by the quiet warmth of natural materials. Inside, that same language continues, with surfaces that feel both curated and organic, inviting and refined.
Xtone Calacatta Antico

The Verve kitchen is anchored by an Xtone Calacatta Antico splashback. Originating from the renowned quarries of Carrara, Calacatta Antico carries an ivory background with veins of deep ochre and warm grey. Used as a splashback that wraps around the rangehood, it introduces movement and depth to the calm warm wood textures.
Porcelanosa Coral Caliza

The bathrooms of the Verve home follow a quieter, more grounded aesthetic. Canal Roma Marfil introduces soft travertine tones that settle into each space with ease, it is the kind of tile that naturally brings a warm and organic quality.
Deco Coral Caliza
The upstairs bathroom is given its defining moment through a Deco Coral Caliza feature wall. A more textural expression of the Caliza collection, the Deco variation adds physical relief and dimension, creating a surface that catches light and rewards closer inspection.
Umbra
Where Verve reaches for warmth and light, Umbra takes a deeper, moodier path. Inspired by the home's darker exterior tones and its external stone feature, the interior features walnut joinery, creamy hues, and brushed brass detailing.
Xtone Taj Mahal

In the Umbra kitchen, the benchtop features Xtone Taj Mahal, paired with Walnut joinery, bringing a commanding presence to the space. Creamy beige tones shine by with the delicate veins producing a surface that speaks of finesse and elegance within this slow-formed stone.
Porcelanosa Line 3D Roble

The Umbra bathrooms continue the home's warm, layered narrative with Line 3D Roble, a timber-inspired porcelain tile with a gently three-dimensional surface that introduces depth and tactile interest wherever it is used. Alongside Coral Caliza, the two tiles create a bathroom environment that feels rich in tactile detail.
L'Antic Colonial Gravity Aluminium Wave

The L'Antic Colonial Gravity Aluminium Wave mosaic tile, in a warm copper finish, appears as a feature in the upstairs bathroom. The copper tones introduce a metallic warmth that looks like a piece of art, a detail that instantly enhances the space.
