PORCELANOSA Unveils Cutting-Edge Designs and Innovations at Cersaie 2025

From 22 to 26 September 2025, PORCELANOSA Group showcased its newest tile, surface, kitchen, bath and construction innovations at Cersaie 2025, the premier international ceramics and design fair held in Bologna, Italy.

The Spanish group’s expansive 400 m² stand immersed visitors in a sensory and material journey through nine curated environments.

This year’s participation emphasises PORCELANOSA’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and design leadership in surfaces and interiors — trends that we in New Zealand are especially excited to bring into our projects.

Nine Immersive Environments: A Tour of Future Interiors

At the heart of the stand lies the UNDORA® Experience Room, conceived by Krion. This central circular space reveals the material’s origin, textures and astonishing realism in a standalone installation.

From there, the visitor journey branches into nine dynamic zones, each combining cutting-edge surfaces, architectural detail and styling narratives:

  • At the reception, a breathtaking counter combining XTONE and Krion® greets guests, backed by a custom XLIGHT Limestone Marfil slab imprinted with the logos of the PORCELANOSA Group brands.

  • The kitchen-dining area features a new Gamadecor design clad in XTONE Calatorao Nature, complemented by Porcelanosa Limestone Bone flooring and XLIGHT Limestone Bone wall tiles

  • In the living room, the focal point is a fireplace clad in Tessera Creams mosaic by L’Antic Colonial, flanked by dramatic XLIGHT Grove tiles with a marble aesthetic.

  • The bedroom features L’Antic Colonial’s L Forma Countertop Izq. Forest Alba, Gamadecor’s EMOTIONS Nogal Seda/Bronce Glass wardrobe, and floors and walls in XLIGHT Toscano Bone ceramics.

  • Six bathrooms present the latest in tapware, surfaces and sanitary design:
      • Porcelanosa’s Burlington Grey and Saddle Caliza tile collections
      • Noken’s Swan bathtub,
      • Krion’s Eclipse collection (bathtubs, sinks, mirrors),
      • Gamadecor’s Saw furniture, integrated seamlessly with the surface architecture.

Other notable zones include:

  • A dedicated XTONE space, segmented into dining, kitchen and bathroom pods, connected via a hallway anchored by a sculptural washbasin framed in vegetation. Featured collections include Ceppo Caravelas, Mallorca Caliza, Negresco and Camouflage

  • A spotlight on Noken tapware and L’Antic Colonial mosaics, showcasing collections like Mallorca, Lounge Fluid, Tree and Chester, combining relief and form in bathroom settings.

  • Two private meeting rooms, adorned with Butech’s representative systems and small-format S-Tile ceramics from L’Antic Colonial.

  • The stand’s outer shell is framed by a slatted structure built on XTONE Camouflage tiles. Featured is the XTONE Tadelakt model, with dual finishes (Sand / Smoke) on each side to create a visually striking effect.

Design & Innovation Highlights

Large-format XTONE porcelain occupies a starring role at Cersaie 2025. The dedicated areas at PORCELANOSA’s stand let visitors experience the strength, beauty and versatility of these slabs in real architectural compositions.

Another key highlight is the UNDORA® Experience Room, which not only demonstrates the material’s tactile realism, but anchors the stand’s narrative in material origin, texture and physical connection.

In the bathroom and tapware zone, Noken reveals new designs such as Mallorca and Lounge Fluid, while L’Antic Colonial presents eye-catching mosaics like Tree and Chester, each sculpted to bring texture and form into three-dimensional space.

Why This Matters for New Zealand Projects

For designers, architects and premium homeowners in New Zealand, what PORCELANOSA presents at Cersaie 2025 offers a preview of where surface design is heading globally:

  • XLIGHT and XTONE large-format porcelain — greater spans, fewer joints, seamless transitions — ideal for contemporary, open-plan homes.

  • New textures and finishes (e.g. Tadelakt finishes, Camouflage palettes) that bring depth and tactility to interior surfaces.
