Striking textural innovations from Xtone

Porcelanosa’s Xtone collection has always pushed the boundaries of what can be achieved with large-format slab surfaces, combining superb technical performance with stunning visual impact. The latest releases from Xtone continue this legacy of innovation, introducing market-leading technologies and exciting new effects.

The six technologies – Core, Eclipse, Lumen, Orion, Titan and Comet – each create a unique effect that imitates nature, elevating porcelain slabs into works of art. In this article we explore these technologies, and how the latest Xtone collections bring them to life.

Core and Eclipse

Xtone’s Core technology presses porcelain together with decorative flakes, creating a full-body effect, while Eclipse technology provides textural depth seldom seen in large-format surfaces.

These two technologies work beautifully together in Xtone Breccia Imperiale, with its copper-toned base and flowing white and grey veining. The decorative copper elements and subtle texture ensure this surface has visual impact from up close, or from across the room.

In stark contrast to the solemnity of Breccia Imperiale’s quartzite effect, Xtone Calacatta Antico Striped uses Eclipse technology to evolve the iconic Calacatta Antico range. Delicate stripes add depth and elegance to Calacatta Antico’s intricately patterned ivory surface.

Lumen

Xtone’s Lumen technology brings decorative reliefs into specially chosen areas of the design, adding realism and visual interest.

Xtone Navona, inspired by the natural erosion of waterfalls on limestone, combines Core and Lumen technologies to create a unique effect. Tiny cavities run across the surface, giving the surface unparalleled realism and a shimmering visual softness.

Lumen technology can also lend itself to the dramatic, as seen in the Xtone Calatorao range. Delicate gold veins thread through a darkened brown background, creating a striking architectural effect.

Orion

Xtone has long been at the forefront of marble-effect innovation, and the new Orion technology extends this reach even further. Orion extends the veining throughout the piece, adding dimensionality as well as increased structural integrity.

Titan

Xtone’s Titan technology adds metallic nuances to the surface, creating the illusion of metal in a porcelain surface. The result is an industrial, contemporary effect that feels at home in the most innovative spaces.

Xtone Titanium makes Titan technology the star, with a futuristic, sleek surface that combines the resistance of ceramic with the solid appearance of titanium.

Comet

Last – but certainly not least – Xtone Comet technology takes porcelain’s power to impress to dazzling new heights. Comet gives Xtone slabs a radiant effect, produced by shimmering particles of varying intensity, depending on the angle from which the surface is viewed.

Xtone Amazonite – inspired by the precious stone that symbolises hope and self-confidence – brings Comet technology to glorious life.
